Abstract
The article considers the dreams of Asian eskimo as a social phenomenon (on the material of the eskimo folk tales). During the analysis identified the leading unmet needs of the characters, their desired social statuses and roles, types of dreamers. Considered the impact of climatic and other factors on the specifics of dreams.
