Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the problems of the memory of the self-immolations of Old Believers continued among the peoples of Russia for centuries. In forming the memory of ritual suicide was overcome to a large extent an idea of the afterlife fate of suicides. Studies show that there were folk texts which bring together members of self-immolation with the saints.
