Abstract
The article is devoted to the Turkish colony existed in Nikolaev in the 1792-1800 years. The author examines the institutional framework establishment of the colony, points out the problems related to its financing, and comes to the conclusion that the officials of the administration of the Russian Empire, for the most part, did not see the need to preserve this national settlement.
