AbstractUnderstanding of the consumption patterns of immigrants dem ands scrutinizing general mechanisms of cultural influence on individual consumption patterns. Firstly, the plurality of referent cultures may cause an effect of resilient consumption of products associated with the country of residence. Secondly, the consumption pattern’s change is probable due to the lack of the habitual products in the new country. Thirdly, the consumption patterns which are customary within the culture of origin may not meet a social approval in the new society.Keywords: culture, ethno-centrism, ethno-cultural, identity, process, sociology
