Abstract
The article is devoted to one of the central events of the Russian-Turkish war of 1806-1812. - the conclusion of November 23, 1811 Russian-Turkish military convention on Cessation of Hostilities and the transfer "to the preservation of" to the Moldavian army Ottoman corps, located on the left bank of the Danube at Slobodzeya. The author argues that, contrary to what many in our historical literature, called the Convention is not surrender nor de jure, nor de facto.
