Abstract
The article presents a comparative analysis of two approaches to measuring of subjective level of happiness in modern positive psychology. In the first approach the level of happiness is measured "directly" – the respondent answers the questions (or determine the degree of his agreement with assertions) about feeling happy. In the second approach psychological traits or abilities that are considered components of happiness or factors of happiness are measured. The results of the measurements on scales related to the two described approaches correlate well.
