Abstract
The question of the level of economic development remains to this day extremely painful for Russians. Many see the problem in the lack of material means to solve economic and social problems. However, another view is possible: in the main question of philosophy in the aspect of mutual influence of culture and economy at the end of the 20th century. Means of cultural studies revealed the reverse pattern - "culture is primary, the economy is secondary." Modern Russian researchers of this problem rely on education: an explanation of this pattern can have an effect on changing the behavior of the "ordinary Russian".
