Abstract
The article discusses the work of Russian academics to the study of the Institute of principles of election law. The relevance of this topic stems from the fact that the current legislation is still far from perfect and cannot provide full compliance with the principles of electoral law, in this regard, some of the rules of law require some further change and improvements, especially the principle of equality. Based on the analysis of Russian theses of candidate of legal Sciences shared conclusions affecting suffrage and of a recommendatory nature for future changes in the electoral law of the Russian Federation.
