Abstract
The article deals with vanguard Butoh dance as a form of bodily representation. We investigate the nature of the presentation of the body in the postmodern era. It shows, what artistic features of Butoh reflect a new understanding of the bodily nature of man, which has developed in the twentieth century. Denoted principles, philosophy and aesthetics of butoh.
