ALLEGORICAL BIBLICISMS IN SCHOOL PLAYS, THEATERS (THE IMAGE OF PETER I)

Abstract
The author considers the use of allegorical biblical names in the school theatre plays, that are pointing to the image of Peter the Great. The use of these names is due to the propaganda function, which a theatre began to carry out at the times of Peter I. The use of these names is seen through the prism of the treatment of the Church by the king-reformer.
