Abstract
The article is devoted to peculiarities of formation of grammatical competence of students of a foreign language. The author questions the concept of "foreign students", "grammatical competence" and the necessity of its formation in students of a foreign language in the classroom for the Russian language. Attention is drawn to difficulties arising in students during the formation of the desired competence. In the article the author distinguishes several stages of formation of grammatical competence at the lessons of Russian language and offers some job types corresponding to the selected stages.
