Abstract
The paper is dedicated to the analysis of Park Ji-won, a Korean philosopher and novelist’s literature activity in frames of “Practical Learning” movement (silhak). In the 18-19th century Park Ji-won was a pioneer of a new class of Korean philosophers, who criticized Confucian traditions and Chinese manner of literature composing. Also the novelist opposed the aristocratic class and a political system of late Joseon Dynasty.
