Abstract
The paper deals with the concept of linguistic norms as a linguistic phenomenon on the example of the Canadian version of the English language as a national goal. The relevance of this topic is due to the growing interest in the variability of language norms and the peculiarities of national varieties of English, in particular, Canadian English, which is given less emphasis, rather, for example, with British and American.
