Abstract
The article analyzes the ideologeme of the "Russian world" in the historical and political contexts. Criticizing bourgeois postulates of geopolitics, the author summarizes the discouraging experience of perestroika and draws conclusions about the peculiarities of the geopolitical status of modern Russia.
