Abstract
The article considers one of the actual problems of modern linguistics as phonetic value and its connotative character. Exploring this question it appears that the phonetic sound of has a phonetic value, which consists in the language reactions caused by the same signs. By the connotative aspect these values can be negative, positive and neutral.
