TURKISH PRISONERS IN CITY KOROCHA IN XVIII – XIX CENTURIES

Abstract
The article examines facts associated with the presence Turkish prisoners of war in city Korocha, one of the oldest settlements of Belgorod Region. The authors estimate that at least 300 Ottomans interned to this city during the Russian-Turkish war of 1735–1739, 1768–1774 and 1877–1878.
