Abstract
The family dog is one of the most common, we are owned and widely used animals in modern society. This article contains an overview of studies investigating the relationship between the domestic dog and well-being of human existence. Substantiates the importance of dogs for physical health, examines evidence that this species is capable of preventing physical illness , restore health, and even serve as an early warning system for certain types of major diseases , including cancer , seizures and hypoglycemia. We also consider the relationship between dogs and psychological human health, study their ability to help people with disabilities and to serve as a kind of therapist in institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, and even prisons. As a consequence, in this review proves that dogs have a significant and underappreciated now preventive and social - therapeutic value for human health.
