Abstract
The credibility of the media at the present stage is the potential for further development of society as a whole. The article examines the reasons for distrust of the media, as well as an analysis of data about the credibility of the media in Europe. According to the analyzed data, the audience constantly trusts in the first place - the radio, in the second place - TV, the third - the press.
