THE ROLE OF THE POPULATION OF KAMA REGION IN THE FORMATION OF THE ANCIENT MORDOVIANS

Abstract
The article discusses the historiography of problem-the influence of Kama cultures of early iron age on the formation of ancient mordovians. It is underestimated by modern researchers. It is concluded that the Kama region has played a leading role in the ethnogenesis of the Mordva population.
