Abstract
The article is devoted to the specificity of a number of significant aesthetic– philosophical phenomena of XVII–XX centuries in the light of the dialectics of tradition and innovation. The author emphasizes the importance of the nature of correlations between history and mythology in the evolution of artistic creation.
