Abstract
The paper analyzes the impact of the phenomenon of fear in the mythological thinking and traditional performances. In the context of the fear of exploring ways to get precedents (the practice of searching or waiting for signs of supernatural beings, the practice of divination and revelation), on the basis of which is the formation of myth. Moreover, the fear is seen in the context of a taboo and as transcending factor in the making of culture.
